The LENSKIRT XL, a larger version of the standard LENSKIRT. The bigger size accomodates shorter focal length lenses or sharper shooting angles. This allows for more freedom of camera placement. The LENSKIRT XL is a portable, flexible hood which you attach to the end of your camera lens. It allows you to shoot pictures / video through glass without internal environmental reflections such as yourself, room lights, camera flashes, light leak from under a door, etc.

It is ideal for shooting time lapse projects from inside a building or vehicle. The XL version is recommended when needing to shoot with wider angle lenses or when angling the camera inside the hood (like shooting city scapes from high floors).

Dimensions of the LENSKIRT XL is 13in (33cm) X 9in (23cm) with a 9in (23cm) depth.

    Lenskirt XL - Wow......

Posted by Tony H on 15th Jul 2018

Initial thoughts are this piece of kit is invaluable. Went to The Shard in London, UK and used it for some amazing shots where as previously I had taken photos but gave up after 20 mins because of the reflections and light glare however on this occasion spent nearly 3 hours - and I was so impressed with as were several other photographers who queries what it was and what was it for. I told them, showed them and let some of them have a go. Also the fact it folds flat took up no room whatsoever in my camera bag. Great product, great idea.....

Works exactly as advertised and blocks reflections

Posted by Jeff Goldberg on 5th Jul 2017

I have used Lenskirts for a few years now and recently purchased another one so I can run two cameras concurrently. The product is simple to use, works well and I always carry with me if there is a potential to shoot through glass. Here is a recent example, https://flic.kr/p/V5E9eA. I would opt for the XL if you are going to use a longer lens and want freedom of movement and/or may have some extreme angles.

    Too large for aircraft windows

Posted by Unknown on 29th Aug 2016

I ordered both lenskirt and XL version to take photographs from inside aircraft, through windows, to remove reflections. The standard version is the right to use, XL is too large to be mounted on the windows.

    Super Helpful

Posted by Chris on 3rd Jan 2016

I love shooting out of airplanes and hotels in my travels. Lenskirt helps me get great results without chasing reflections I can control and saves the shots where I can't control reflections. A great product. I'd suggest the smaller skirt as well for mirrorless cameras.

    Modification

Posted by Jaime Dormer on 3rd Nov 2015

Would like to see some small tags on the external part of the skirt so that I can pull the fabric out away from the view of the lens. When you are close to the glass, the skirt fabric can be collapsed toward the middle, so some tags to be able to pull it out, fluff it up, balloon it out would be good.

    GREAT IDEA

It works and seems to be very high quality. Just overpriced but guess they got to make a profit before it gets copied! Should include extra suction cups for this price.

    Must Have

Posted by Kevin Couliau on 16th Sep 2015

Lenskirt is definitely a must have when it comes to shooting photography & timelapses behind a window. Whether it's in a hotel room or a sightseeing, this item will make your shots happen without annoying reflections.

    It Works

I live in a high-rise and often shoot through windows with lots of reflections. This product works great but limits flexibility in framing the photo to straight ahead otherwise clipping edges.

    works great

The Lenskirt works admirably when used for photos through reflective surfaces. It's quite light and easy to carry around "just in case".
